I have been too busy lately to update this, luckily I had enough time to go through other people's blogs though.
Quite some updates; bought a new camera (Canon 500D), been to England for a week (conference on language teaching).
S13 is hovering on stands; GT-R brakes are on, wide fenders are nearly on, wheels are on, custom exhaust by Kay is on (it's so sexy) only the bumpers need some work and painting but I will leave that for Willy, haha.
I'll put up a picture of the exhaust as I won't be uploading any pictures of the project. I'll only put "before and after" pictures online.

My car would still be bone stock if it wasn't for my mates to help me, thanks guys.

I know for certain that it's possible in the US, UK and in Germany to create your own license plates, and if you're not interested a combination of letters and numbers will be put together for you. The latter sometimes gives quite some cool combinations.
As I was driving back from Germany where I always get my petrol; it's cheaper, higher octane and I live a couple of minutes from the German border, I got annoyed by the old Volvo driver in front of me because he was driving reallllly slow... Then I noticed his license plate, he can't possibly have requested the combination:

I picked up the bodykit the other day. Turned out not to be the promised Uras-like kit and I found it when I got home. The people at the shop were rather weird and strange and I didn't feel like spending a second more than necessary. Only thing I can think of is that the seller was too lazy to take pictures of his own kit, instead he browsed for some pictures on the internet that looked pretty much alike...

Anyway, it's a V-Speed kit by Extreme Dimensions, I have no idea which "jdm-tyte!" bodykit it ought to represent, all I know is that I like it. Fell in love with it when I saw Willy driving behind me in his S13, he's got a V-Speed bumper as well.

All-in-all it's not such a bad thing that I didn't buy a Uras-kit as I like this one just as much.

Santa was early

Its been quite some time since my last entry and a lot things happened, short sum up;
- New windscreen
- "New" roof (a million thanks go out to Willy who fixed my roof so properly)
- New wheels came in
- Wangan Warriors meeting in Nijmegen was a huge success
- New bodykit

First things first
The Wangan Warriors meeting in Nijmegen was a huge success, over 65, 70 cars showed up. I haven't taken any pictures (which I regret) but have a look at the Wangan Warriors homepage and get an idea of how we rocked the place!

Next, I've got my new windscreen in and Willy has made my roof look good again. He thinks it still needs some work but I'm more than happy with how it is right now, thanks so much mate!

New Wheels!

They were delivered seperately as they couldn't fit 2 in a box which apparently is the standard procedure. Condition? Immaculate! Some of my friends didn't believe me when I said they were second hand and I was, and still am, pretty amazed by how good they look!

They are 4 lug!

Had them around for a week when John came over to check them out. He made me take the hub caps off when we discovered they were 4 lug, hahah! It didn't say so on the website where I bought them so I didn't even bother to have a look. We put them on right away and this is how it looks:

I'm so glad I bought them, they look really good and I can't wait to have them on. They stick out a good 8 centimetres, 8.5 to be precise. Will definitely be needing wiiiiide fenders and that made me think about the looks. A stock rear bumper with 50mm widefenders and 12J wheels sticking out of the side doesn't look good at all, luckily I came across an ad on the dutch sx forum. A guy was selling his Uras immitation body kit (front, side, rear) for a bargain. Will be picking that up on wednesday.

My car is in the garage still, windscreen is still broken, the roof is still dented but I did manage to get a bonnet off of my mate. Bonnet is rather shit though, the clear coat is coming off at quite some spots so I've pretty much decided to put stickers on the entire bonnet. Not quite sure if I'm going to include the pop-up lights as well.
We'll see when it will be back on the streets, all in time.

Windscreen pwnage

My car's windscreen decided to stretch its legs today... while I was doing 120 km/h on the motorway.
This is how it looked like right after it happened:

Got some things sorted right after I got home, thanks to a towing company.
Took the bonnet off:

Decided to take my bumper off as well. Wanted to re-locate the oil cooler for quite some time and I can combine this with putting these locks on which allow you to take the entire front bumper off in a matter of seconds.

What happens now?

- Kay and William will be coming over to repair the roof as much as possible on friday.
- Bought a burgundy red bonnet from Daniel and I got a pair of hinges from Joep.
- I'm insured against any windscreen damage so I'll be having that fixed some time soon as well, I hope.
- I have to re-paint my roof after its lost (most of) its dents.

Yesterday, I went to Sky-Engineering again to get some other things fixed. I have a proper working oil pressure gauge now! It's nice to be able to keep an eye on your oil pressure and such as it's one of the more important things of an engine.

I love this "stance", if you will. Not because it's my car, saw a Soarer on the Risky Devil blog a while ago standing in some garage like this as well. Sexy sexy!

Got my R33 gauge cluster installed at Sky-Engineering last friday. Finally some proper-working gauges to look at!
I'm going back there this friday to get the oil and boost pressure working properly as well... I'm useless when it comes to electrics.

Put the Commander on the dash with velcro and insulation tape... guess what? It's shit. I'll be "re-fitting" it this week, going to drill the mofo on the dash, that'll do.

I'm in danger of breaking sweat at any moment... it's 37 degrees Celcius over here and it's far too hot. Luckily, according to the weather man, heavy shit will be coming down in half an hour. A national "weather alarm" has been put out so we'll see what it gives.

It's been a while since I've put any updates on here. Quite some things have happened. I've been reading books like a madman for a school assignment. Most of the books are really okay though, didn't know reading was that much fun. It's weird even for me to say that.

My SX has had some "maintenance". See, I rather wrecked my fans when I was chasing a Ferrari. I desperately wanted to prove the owner I was faster than he was but unfortunately my fans didn't feel like that. They started rubbing my hoodpins and the fans' frame snapped a few minutes later.
Ordered two, 12", Spal fans the same week and Johnny helped me loads by fitting them. Everytime they switch on it sounds as if I will take off like a 747.

It's one more day untill the Nürmeet 2009. The German SXOClub organises a massive meeting near the Nürburgring every year. This year will be my third and I really can't wait. Need to wash my car, tidy things up inside and then just cruise down there. Every time I get to the Nürburgring this voice goes through my head saying "buy a ticket, take your car for a spin".
I'll just have to be patient though, my brakes are shit and I really have to wait untill I've got my new brakes fitted.

As for now I'll just have to read books for another day and a half.

My S13 passed its inspection last week. It wasn't road legal since it has an RB25 under the bonnet while, according to my registration papers, it's a 4 cilinder.

But now it -does- say 6 cilinder on the registration papers so the car is completely road legal, YAY!

Came across a strutbar I bought a while ago, the other day. Decided to fit it today.

As you can see it's one that's moutned on the lower front. I don't know how the car's handling is now as I haven't driven with it yet.

Fitted perforated Z31 brakes with a mate yesterday. Thanks Daniel!

Something sure as hell needs cleaning...

One more thing, the Wangan Warriors car club, which Kay and I started some while ago, really kicked off when Rob decided to hook us up with a site, forum and so on.

Rah, where to begin

I'll try not to type too much since pictures "say" more.

Kay lowered the sx for a good 6, 7 centimetres. Settings are 8 kg on the front and 6 on the rear. We've set the damping rates hardest which is pretty comfy in a way. It's an enormous handling improvement, won't go anywhere in the corners except where I want it to go and with some well visible camber on the rear it's also a lot more difficult to skid.

decided to celebrate it by washing the car and taking it out for some shots, my cousin came along in his civic, kay shot some footage and is editting as we speak, can't wait to see the film

it had to happen some time and it happened tonight. together with Kay, I decided to stop smoking (Kay as well). I'm smoking the last ones as I typ this and from tomorrow on I will try to stay off those damn things. I think I'll find it really hard to quit but it's all for the best, going from 20 cigarets per day to not a single one just like that. with that I will save 135 euro per month... ahhhh I will be able to buy a lot of S13 goodies with that money!

I'm still waiting for my coilovers to arrive, they have to be shipped over from the UK to The Netherlands. It seems as if my car grows higher every day. When I get them I will slam my car as much as possible, it's too bad that I can't go as low as a "normal" s13 since the rb25's crankcase is in the way.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Going to Almere (Small Amsterdam imho) with a friend to chill at another friend's place. Maybe shoot some pictures if we can find a decent spot and then head over to Utrecht where a meeting is organised for japanese cars. The list consists of 102 cars atm. I do hope the parking lot will have enough space for all those cars since we're meeting at a highway-diner. There will be some pretty cool cars, last years pictures have shown me an Acura NSX, couple of Skylines, one or two Supra's and a couple of hardcore Civics so I'm hella looking forward.
I'm hoping to upload some pictures on the same day.

The S13 is back on the road again! A friend replaced the old hose with a funky fresh new water-turbo-feed-coolant-hose-coolant-turbo-hose because I couldn't really reach there with my sausage-fingers. Been cruising for 2 days now and it's still going. No leaks, no worrying sounds, no nothing. Hell, even got pulled over by the bacons tonight while cruising with the Wangan Team, nothing serious though.

A lot of things happened

Woah, it's been nearly 2 weeks and a lot of things happened.
I've been to London with 2 mates, had a blast. Saw a lot of things, visited a lot of musuems and ate even more junk food. We've been to Burger King 7 times in 6 days... good thing that we walked somewhere around 8 miles a day.

Picadilly Circus and Big Ben:

Last sunday I went driftkarting with the SXOC crew. I loved it, good fun. I hope to do this again real soon in the near future.

Also I finally finished my car's interior. Only thing left was putting the radiator back in. That was allright, didn't have too many problems (thanks to John and Kay for helping me). So after that and washing it, I went out for a cruise with Kay, took some photo's, cruised a bit more and went home. When we got home I parked my car in the garage, Kay came in as well and we were just saying to each other how smooth the RB sounds when all of a sudden I heard a sizzling and dripping sound... Popped the hood and coolant was visible behind the head where the sound was coming from. I freaked out, started talking about the selling the car right away because I really felt shit; I finally had it back on the road running again when that happened. Went to my room, googled a bit to see if I could find someone with a similar problem and I did. A guy on the Australian Skyline forum (thank jebus voor intarnetz) had the same problem. In his case it was the water feed to the turbo. Had a chat with a few friends of mine and they also said it could very well be the water feed. Took it off today with a mate of mine. It's a proper shit-job since it's located in between the engine and the firewall. Luckily I didn't have to jack up the gearbox even a bit to reach it.

I'm hoping to replace it this week, it felt good to drive my car again since 3 months.

Got a new pair of coolant hoses, I had to buy these because my stock ones burst a while ago. Temp. went up to 106 degrees Celsius while cruising down the freeway. That was a scary moment, all went well luckily.

Anyhow, got a fish eye lens for my camera today, gives it just that extra touch I reckon.

It's almost been a week, nothing much happened though.
I've been working on my car a bit, got it painted pretty much half-way now but I've got an examweek coming up so I'll have to be spending a bit more on studying than working on my car, harsh.

Took last night off to watch a movie with some friends. We watched My Best Friend's Girl with Dane Cook, it was hilarious. While we were at the video-shop I saw this DVD that was for sale, The Office UK, complete series 1. Bought it right away, love it. 3 hours of laughing your arse off for 15 euro's, that's far more cheaper than going to a stand up comedian not even knowing if he's funny.

Ah! I almost forgot. Went to Sittard, a city in the south of Holland about 40 kilometres south of where I live, with my cousin last week, he was going to get a new front window in his Civic. Nothing special in the garage when I walked about untill I saw this:

A Ford Escort MkI. This thing was serious, the garage owner built it for rally, as you can see.
Tweaked it a bit, it's doing 225 horses from the original 2 litre engine, not too much horsepower you'd say. But this baby weighs in at 750 kilo, wawaWEEwa is nice! I like!

So I went out again to shoot some photo's last night. A friend of mine (thanks Antonis!) gave me some tips, which were very useful, about ISO-stuff.

I fancy this one a lot!

Now it's time for me to get my S13 back on the road so that I can take some pictures of that as well.

So I went out with some friends to do a photoshoot, good chance for me to get familiar with my camera.
Here's the result, still have loads to learn but this isn't a bad start I reckon.

Decided to buy a camera the other day, I'm tired of using someone else's cam all the time.
Bought a Fuji S5800, I actually wanted an S5700 because a friend of mine is using that and he shoots some pretty amazing pictures with it. Too bad for me that the shops where I've been didn't have the S5700 anymore.

Also bought bought a cardreader, 2GB card, new batteries and a tripod with it, all ready to go.

Going to properly test it later tonight.

Hello... I think. I don't even know where I'm writing this for. Is it my first official blog or is this the bit where I tell something about myself?
